Judith Basin County Fairboard Minutes

1-22-18

Call to order at 6:05pm. Dawnita Sampsel, Sigrid Deegan, Bruce Neumann, Powell Becker, Charlie Hill, Janet Wertheimer, and Katie Hatlelid present.

Dawnita moved, Powell 2^nd to approve minutes as read. Motion passed.

Treasurer’s report - $4,915 in the Sale account, still in the red in the operating budget.

Old Business:

Fairgrounds improvements

- Barn funding update

o Powell will meet with commissioners and we will apply to the CMF again this year.

- Panels

o Katie will investigate the 4’ panels to close the backs of the pens in.

- Fair

o Scale Cert – Call B & L and schedule for Wednesday of fair week again

o Auctioneer – Shobe

o Meat delivery – stick with 2 trailers

o Processing options – Stillwater

New Business

- Add goat min/max weights, 70 & 120 - approved

- Update max payment weights for large animals, 325# for hogs, 165# for sheep - approved

- Approved fair schedule changes, see Council Minutes from 1-17-18

- Dedication – Brian Hoven will be our honoree this year, Charlie Hill will get a write up put together.
