Judith Basin County Fairboard Minutes

6-11-18

Call to order by Powell Becker at 6:20pm. Powell Becker, Dawnita Sampsel, Billie Jo Holzer, & Katie Hatlelid present.

The minutes were approved as read.

Treasurer’s Report – Dawnita reported that there is $4,900 in the sale account and -1,600 in the supply line.

Old Business

Barn

- Windows, Jason is working with Terry Claver to finish the windows, Powell will also follow up.

- Panels have been ordered, 32 4’ and 4 8’ to finish the pens.

- Electricity – postpone until funding is settled

- CMF grant – we were granted $5,000 conditionally for the barn. Must raise remainder of funds and ask for the grant before May 22, 2019

- Additional sources, newspaper article highlighting what we’ve done so far and what we still need to finish.

Scale inspection – scheduled and will be done the week of July 23^rd

Parade & events – planning is coming along, everyone will spread the word

Wood shavings – Sara Stevenson will sell the leftover bags of shavings to the Fairboard for $5 apiece, the board will buy some more shavings to make sure we have enough.

Parking – the stampede club will let us borrow their parking signs for the fair, we won’t have anyone park by the barn again.

New Business

Sale

- Auctioneer, Jayson or Kyle with be there with Jeff Jedlicka

- Clerk, Deichmann’s will be there again

- Trucking, Powell will talk to Ryan Polzin to get on the schedule

- Meat Delivery will be scheduled closer to fair time
